New MacBook
So I’m home in Toronto for a week. And as its Thursday i am slowly realizing that a week is not enough time at all. I have had the time to visit the important people but not necessarily the places. I haven’t been to Yorkville. I haven’t been to the Tim Burton exhibit at the new TIFF theatres downtown at the Bell lightbox. I haven’t really been to any of my old haunts....
Something New...
So anyone who knows me knows I love film. Most weekends I am at the movies or watching a DVD. So the other day I was on twitter when some film person (who started following me for some reason) asked if anyone wanted to contribute to the website. So I replied. And now I’m a published film reviewer. Now, turns out in my research that the movie I reviewed, Fair Game, had been out in north...

Febreeze
I love febreeze, don’t get me wrong, but my 23 year old housemate thinks it is a viable alternative to washing his 4 day old dishes if he just sprays them with it. Sure that musty smell is gone but the visual of days gone by sweet chili sauce and mayo (which apparently should go on all food) still is with me each morning. That is if I’m not looking at my feet trying to avoid chips...
Copenhagen photos →
So, in early December, Bryce and I decided to embark on an adventure to Christmas markets in Copenhagen. Little did we know what an adventure it would be. Due to bad weather here we were quite worried about our flight, however things somewhat cleared up. That morning we received a text message that our flight had been canceled. I managed to get us on a noon flight, which was then delayed...

Happy Belated Christmas!
So in lieu of pictures which I have yet to upload to my computer,
I just wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas, whatever corner of the world you happen to be in.
Though I am in London, I am lucky enough to actually have my father here in town for the holidays. I was working the first week he was here but this week we’re managing to get to Windsor castle, up to Stratford and the...

Munchen Oktoberfest
Well having not written for a while I figured I should at least do a post on our trip to Munich and Oktoberfest. Unfortunately with Internet at a premium I’m not sure when it will get posted. I am currently on a train heading to Amsterdam. But I’ll start back a couple days…
Saturday we met up with a friend of ours, Julie, whom we met 5 years ago on our contiki trip. After...

Sorry it took a few days for me to post the rest of the Corfu and Athens pictures. As well someone brought to my attention that my comment section wasn’t working. I have no idea how the settings ended up being changed but i THINK that I fixed it. So i expect comments now!!

So I have posted most of our pictures on facebook for those of you that are on it, however I realize that some people don’t have facebook that may be checking in, so if you go the link it SHOULD take you to the page where the album is and you should be able to view the pics without signing up for facebook. I’ll post a separate link for all my albums.
Back in London :(
Well after a 3 week whirlwind trip we are back in London. It seems like 3 months of travel when I look back on it. Wifi was very hard to come by after my last post and was very expensive on the cruise ship so sorry for not posting!! I am just starting to upload photos and such now so will return to our journey once I have them done. As well I can put links up to the facebook albums where you can...

Iceland update
Monday marked the beginning of our trip overseas. We said our goodbyes and our see you laters and headed off to the airport. We were a bit concerned about our luggage weight but were pretty sure we would be okay. As we got up to the counter though we saw one lady actually weighing carry on!! This was an issue for me as the computer alone weighs 6 lbs. I stashed my backpack with dad quickly as of...
Last Post from Canada!
Well, all day we spent packing, and purging and packing. I thought our bags had to be under 44 lbs each and was a bit worried, cause while my pack only weighed 30lbs, my suitcase was about 50. However, I found out that they just have to be less than 50 so we are now good to go!
The last week has definitely been an emotional roller coaster. We definitely are excited to start traveling and get...

Lately we’ve had a lot going on - a lot of emotional goodbyes and family and friends. An earthquake. And now this. And it’s hard to put into words exactly what you feel when the city you’ve loved and grown up in gets terrorized by idiots who don’t even really have a cause. I fully support the peaceful protest (not that I think they accomplish much typically, but it is a...
From the Photo Desk- Oil Spill Tragedy. →
This site may be hard to look at, but all of us who have ever drank water from a plastic water bottle or driven a car need to view these photos. It is a sad and horrible thing this oil spill. The saddest part being that this tragedy will likely not change anything in the way we live at all. The people at the top of the great money making machine at BP aren’t crying over the beautiful...

Want Stress? Have some of mine!
So, now it’s just about one more week before we have to be out of this place and our tenant moves in. It seems crazy that we may never live here again. I mean, we can always come back, it will always be here for us but nothing will ever be EXACTLY the same as it was. The pictures are off the walls, the holes are being filled in and painted over. There are boxes (and dust) everywhere....

Visa Time!
Well, things are moving along quite nicely now with our UK plans. I had gotten word from a friend of mine that a clinic in the UK liked my resume, but that doesn’t seem to have panned out. This may be a blessing in disguise. Due to a very generous donation from the government (in the form of a tax refund) it seems as if Bryce and I will be able to do some traveling BEFORE working. The...

Stress time!
So, now that I gave in my notice and have things rolling I realized that there is so much to do. And I realized this, it was just so much easier to ignore it! So, out come the lists, as I have a way of doing. I started by getting my transcript sent from Guelph as for some reason they feel they need it for a UK license. I sent my resume to a friends clinic. I got myself enrolled with a...
