Well we finally made it only to find cold and rain awaiting us. That kinda sucked!! Today was the the first day we really had good sun and no rain. So I went for a run. Only ran 3 km then discovered that walking back along the beach takes much longer!!! However, this is what I got to walk along so I really couldn’t complain!! Yay for the beach. I love the smell of the sea… Something about it just seems healthy. As far as the rest of our trip so far… we went to a Tampa bay Lightning hockey game (we wore our Leafs jerseys since many of the Calgary Flames, who they were playing, were Leafs 2 weeks ago). Good way to start up conversations - we even had someone take our photo. Haha. But just like anything else, Americans sure like to do it up. They had a tailgate party, a band and the hockey cheerleaders outside before the game. However, the best part was getting to see my friend Alycia and her bf Jay who I haven’t seen for 7 months since she moved to Tampa. We watched the superbowl with them yesterday too… Well I watched the commercials. Oh and I watched part of the puppy bowl. Totally pointless, super cute, and left me wondering if they all had their shots…
