So a couple of weeks ago we got back from our trip to Florida and disneyworld. I had posted while we were in Tampa but did not have the chance when we were in Orlando. We were literally on the bus at 7:45 am every day, at a theme park by 8:30 to watch the opening (which is actually kinda cool) and on 2 nights there to see the fireworks. You know, Disney world is funny because no matter how old you think you are, the moment you step inside those gates you feel like a kid again. Even in the pouring rain, in our Mickey ponchos we had a great time. We rode the tea cups, multiple times (i’ll try and post the video) that i had NEVER done before. We took pictures with Buzz Lightyear (and Bryce got the gloves to match). Bryce was like a kid in a candy shop and it was fabulous to see. I can’t wait to take our own kids there some day - we did get asked by an elderly man while in line for the Winnie the Pooh ride where our children were. haha.
While there, Bryce and I had a good time to chat about where we were headed and finally made the decision to take chance and go to the UK this June/July. This week was really tough as I gave my office manager and the two partners at the clinic my notice. As much as I like to complain (regularly) we are like a family. I see them more than I see Bryce most days! However, it’s done, and now I have to work on the details - finding someone to rent our place, getting my vet license (for which i have to get a transcript from Guelph), figuring out where we will live! It’s all very exciting and at the same time terribly scary. I am very comfortable in my clinic - I hope that the next place is respectful of my wants and needs. I hope that we can travel and do the things that we want to do. We are thinking of starting with a Contiki tour that will go from Italy to Turkey, Greece, Israel and Egypt. It would be a great way to start things off. We will have the whole of Europe to explore. So watch this space… things, as months go on, are going to get a whole lot more interesting!!
