Ramblings from a Vet
So today we departed London. We had to drag a lot of our belongings all over London this week. However will give a bit of an update first as to why. The flat mentioned in my last post fell through unfortunately. They loved us and we loved them but they were renegotiating the lease on their flat and the landlord didn’t realize that they had a cat. Now this cat had been living in the flat several years without issue so why it became one now I have no idea! Regardless we were back on the prowl. We saw one place in fulham that was alright and another in hammersmith that would have had us rooming with a very odd Spanish guy. Nothing really seems like a good fit. thank goodness then for bryce’s cousin Ken and his wife Bucks (rebekah) who agreed to have us rent a room in their place. It is huge and a very lovely home in south east London. Ken is a photographer and bucks is a film producer. No shortage of interesting stories from either one of them. We now have bought ourselves some time to find the right flat. We won’t stay with them full time but at least we have a place to hang our hats when we get back! So we took all our luggage and bedding and all sorts to their place on the tube which was great fun (not) but at least better than the Piccadilly debacle.

Currently we are on the train on our way to Edinburgh. Bryce is reading and I am taking full advantage of the free wifi. It is a lovely way to travel really. Lots of space on the train as you can see and very hassle free at the station. You only have to show up like 15 minutes before your train leaves as they don’t even post the platform number until then. It’s nice to go through some of the English countryside as well. We will spend a few days in Edinburgh with friends (yay for free accommodation) before flying to Rome Tuesday. I don’t have the computer with me so for now I can only post one photo at a time from my phone so if I just have random pics show up you will know why! Anyway I am off. Going to go explore the train a bit. We will be making a stop in Durham shortly too which I am interested to see since I have sent many letters there over the years to my friend Catherine. We will go visit her likely next on the train.
Ciao for now!
